The Quaich (pronounced quake from the Gaelic word cuach) has a rich heritage in Scotland as it is a Scottish invention. Traditionally, it was used to celebrate a bond between two clans, a welcome to travellers and is now used commonly in wedding and christening ceremonies. Today it is also a touching gift for retirement and many special celebrations.
It is common to share a wee dram amongst family and friends at special events.
