The P2 Acetyl bagpipes are a popular starter set as well as an instrument which can be used for long parades in all climates.
McCallum black Acetyl bagpipes have virtually the same sound quality as our Blackwood bagpipes and the drones have identical dimensions to the Blackwood range of McCallum Bagpipes. They are fully beaded and combed with imitation ivory projecting mounts and alloy ferrules and ring caps.
They are virtually indestructible, so the worry of any cracks appearing in extreme heat or cold is removed. They are also very easy to clean and maintain, so are the ideal choice as a bagpipe that may be passed on from one band member to another, or one learner to another. Perfect as a starter set before you decide to invest in your particular style of Blackwood bagpipe.
All McCallum black Acetyl bagpipes have a 10-year, no-quibble guarantee, but if looked after will last forever.
Your bagpipes will be set up and tested by our professional pipers to ensure they are ready to play when you take delivery of them.
This is an economical and durable practice chanter with a superior tone and appearance.
The McCallum long poly practice chanter is 22″ from top of mouthpiece to bottom. Spacing between the holes is similar to a regular pipe chanter so you can easily switch between your practice chanter and bagpipes.
This practice chanter has imitation ivory ferrule and sole.
Includes a practice chanter reed.
The TechnoPipes by Fagerstrom makes practicing at any time or place a reality.
The Fagerstrom TechnoPipes are a full-size electronic bagpipe and they are an ideal complement to your regular practice chanter.
They come complete with a set of headphones so that only you hear what you are playing. Great for air planes, dorms or any public place where you want to be stealth in your practicing.
Can be integrated with other instruments and musicians.
Designed by double gold medalists and world champion pipers, Callum Beaumont and Alastair Dunn.
This chanter features smaller finger holes in comparison to the multi-prize winning Peter Henderson Blackwood Pipe Chanter and plays at a slightly higher pitch.
It has been extensively tested in a synthetic and leather pipe bag set-up with a range of reeds and produces a rich, resonant bright sound with a solid Hi G for light music and piobaireachd playing.
This chanter builds on the success of the Peter Henderson Blackwood chanter and combined with Callum’s feedback and experience playing at the highest level of solo piping competition, we have designed a chanter for all abilities wishing to achieve a world class sound. The holes are carefully sanded to give the feel of a vintage chanter before undergoing a rigorous polishing process.
The R.G. Hardie Blackwood Infinity pipe chanter comes complete with a reed protector and deluxe box.
“A blackwood pipe chanter with a bright sound and stable Hi G”
The Kintyre is a new design of long practice chanter developed by Stuart and Willie McCallum.
The Kintyre practice chanter boasts a beautiful clear tone and the sound lasts much longer as a result of the innovative watertrap incorporated in the top piece. If emptied on a regualr basis, it will give hours of uninterrupted practice.
Willie Mccallum describes it as “the only long practice chanter I have played that feels like a pipe chanter”, thereby making the transition much easier. It’s unique hole design is a huge step forward in improving finger work.
Includes a practice chanter reed.
