Highland Bagpipe Tutor Book 3
The Highland Bagpipe Tutor Book 3 is a natural progression from the Green Tutor Book 1.
Tutor 3 continues with more in depth practice on embellishments. It provides an introduction to the playing of competition marches, strathspeys, reels, hornpipes and jigs. There are also tunes for dancing and lessons on standard pieces such as Scotland the Brave and Flowers of the Forest.
With Tutor 1, Tutor 3 has all the tunes and theory necessary to pass the light music sections of the Pipe and Drumming Qualifications Board Levels 1 – 4 examinations.

The Plastic Kintyre PC13 is a new design of long practice chanter developed by Stuart and Willie McCallum.
The Kintyre plastic practice chanter boasts a beautiful clear tone and the sound lasts much longer as a result of the innovative watertrap incorporated in the top piece. If emptied on a regualr basis, it will give hours of uninterrupted practice.
Willie Mccallum describes it as “the only long practice chanter I have played that feels like a pipe chanter”, thereby making the transition much easier. It’s unique hole design is a huge step forward in improving finger work.
